Poultney’s 250th Anniversary
The PDRC joined the town in celebrating its 250th anniversary with events including a time capsule burial, tree dedication, historical showcases, and a large July 4th parade.
Pedestrian and Bicycle Infrastructure
The PDRC implemented pedestrian safety signage, installed bike racks, and added trash receptacles to promote a more walkable and bike-friendly downtown.
Stone Valley Arts Celebration
Stone Valley Arts commemorated the 200th anniversary of its historic building with events including live music and the unveiling of a historic marker.
Adoption of New Town Branding
Downtown Designation Renewal
The Vermont Downtown Board approved Poultney’s application to renew its downtown designation, affirming the town’s commitment to revitalization efforts.
Poultney Mural Initiative
Through the Poultney Downtown Mural Initiative, the community installed vibrant murals that celebrate the town’s heritage and stimulate downtown revitalization. The project was funded through community-supported crowdfunding and the VHCD Better Places program. Learn more!
