The Banners of Legacy project is a walkable timeline on Main Street that showcases key events, people, and places that have shaped the town. Each lamppost banner displays a significant milestone, accompanied by a slate plaque with a QR code. Scanning the code opens a webpage hosted by the Poultney Historical Society, providing additional context to the banner. This produced a unique interactive experience for Poultney, unlike any other downtown in the region, returning banners to Main Street after several years of absence.
